Native vs scanned PDFs
Digital PDFs exported from Word or InDesign convert with layout mostly intact. Scanned PDFs need OCR so paragraphs are recognized.
Cleanup workflow
Convert, then fix styles in Word using Styles pane. Re-export to PDF with Word to PDF when you need a final locked copy.
Tables
Dense tables may need manual adjustment. For data-heavy documents, try PDF to Excel instead.
